About the role
The Sr. Procurement Analyst at Mark Anthony Group is responsible for driving advanced analytics and reporting to support Category Managers in strategy execution and monitoring supplier performance for MAB. The role leverages market insights and data to identify savings, mitigate risk, and deliver value across packaging categories.
Responsibilities
- Provide Analyst support packaging spend categories: Cans, Glass, Corrugate, Cartons, Label, Closures, and other misc. pack spend.
- Maintain supplier pricelists and price changes.
- Analyze commodity market trends that impact MAB.
- Play input/support role for execution of supplier strategies and SRM plans.
- Lead the development of dashboards, reporting, and automation tools to enhance decision-making, improve efficiency, and elevate overall team capability.
- Conduct sourcing events and provide recommendations for business awards for small categories & execute contracts.
- Analyze productivity opportunities.
Key Metrics & Financial Targets
- Cost – Delivering lowest landed cost while mitigating risk of excess inventory. Monitoring pricelist & supplier performance.
- Quality – Holding suppliers to account for any non-conformance incidents.
- Service – Assuring continuity of supply.
- Innovation / Product Development support – Own: Packaging procurement dashboards/price lists/SOPs, Failed invoices & Discount performance, Labels Category / Shrink SRM support & sourcing events.
Skills Needed To Be Successful
- Ability to analyze market trends and business data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience with Power BI, snowflake, notebook LM, and other ai tools.
- Prior packaging procurement experience (contracts/neg.).
Compensation
- Competitive annual salary of $88,000 - $110,000 in Chicago, IL.
