Sr Analyst Model Risk & AI, Gen AI Model Validation

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr Analyst Model Risk & AI, Gen AI Model Validation to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on validating generative AI and agentic AI use cases across multiple business functions, with an emphasis on model risk management and sound quantitative testing practices. The successful candidate will help ensure that AI methods, calculations, and assumptions are appropriate for intended use while strengthening reliability, transparency, and governance. This is a highly cross-functional position that will partner with teams building and using AI solutions to support better decision-making in a regulated financial services environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Perform model validations for generative AI and agentic AI use cases across various business functions
• Ensure accuracy of model calculations, algorithms, and methods for intended use
• Design challenger solutions and testing methods for AI tasks
• Review quantitative and qualitative testing techniques to assess model reliability
• Evaluate data inputs and assumptions for accuracy and appropriateness
• Design testing approaches for non-deterministic AI systems, including statistical evaluations
• Prepare clear model validation reports with findings and recommendations

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in AI, ML, Computational Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in machine learning or data science, with 1+ year focused on GenAI or agentic AI
• Experience with P&C, Group, or Life insurance products is a plus
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and Git
• Solid understanding of GenAI concepts, including prompt/context engineering and LLM evaluations
• Familiarity with cloud and AI tools such as GCP/Vertex AI, AWS/SageMaker, and OpenAI APIs
• Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities effectively

Pay

$108,000 – $162,000 annually
