Job Summary

The Sr. Analyst, Franchise Profitability will facilitate timely and accurate reporting and analysis on franchisee restaurant profitability. Working closely with cross-functional departments—including Marketing, Operations, Development, Franchising, Construction, and Field Support—this role provides insights into profitability trends, identifies outliers, and collaborates with franchisees to develop action plans that drive profitability. The position reports to the Director, Profitability and is essential in supporting strategic decisions with data-driven insights.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support data validation and follow-up processes to help improve reporting accuracy and consistency over time.
  • Communicate with franchisee finance teams regarding data submissions, financial health indicators, and identified outliers.
  • Track monthly and quarterly profitability reports submitted by franchisees, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Analyze restaurant profitability data

  • Provide insights to the Profitability & Finance teams, as well as Field Team General Managers on trends and priority areas across franchisees, regions, and restaurant types.
  • Support regular ad-hoc analyses that identify opportunities for profitability improvement.
  • Identify key drivers of restaurant-level profitability performance, including outliers and emerging trends.

Create and present profitability reports

  • Create and present profitability reports to senior leadership and field teams, summarizing trends by franchisee, region, division, and restaurant type across various regions.
  • Aid in preparing materials for internal and external stakeholders to support decision-making.

Translate analysis

  • Translate analysis into clear, concise takeaways and recommendations for both finance and non-finance audiences.

Skills & Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a STEM-related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience, with a desire to learn and be challenged.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with SQL and experience in tools such as Hyperion and Tableau is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, demonstrating self-motivation and a proactive approach.
  • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
