Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support during financial close cycles
- Maintain GL system configurations and ensure accurate setup
- Identify and implement automation opportunities in the financial close process
- Manage sub-ledger integrations and ensure data integrity
- Develop complex financial reports using Oracle reporting tools
- Enforce compliance and support audit readiness
- Serve as a final technical escalation point for GL incidents
Qualifications
- 7+ years of IT experience in Oracle Financials, focusing on GL and Financial Close modules
- Demonstrated ability to maintain GL configurations such as COA mapping and Ledger Sets
- Strong understanding of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles
- Experience in root-cause analysis for ledger discrepancies and GL failures
- Participation in two full-lifecycle Oracle Financials implementations or upgrades
- Knowledge of compliance requirements (SOX, HIPAA) in GL system governance
- Experience in a regulated healthcare or financial services environment
