About the role
The Corporate team runs the close consolidations, topline metrics, and the company’s short & long-term financial planning processes. As a Sr. Analyst, you will play an integral role supporting the monthly close and forecast consolidations for total company reporting. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you will interact with senior leadership on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end consolidated forecast/close process & quarterly earnings process, including preparing the monthly financial update to the COFO & Finance leadership.
- Support a cross-functional process across Finance to track total company P&L risks & opportunities and deliver updates to the COFO & Finance leadership.
- Support key deliverables for finance updates to the ELT and training program for Company executives.
- Support Salesforce’s quarterly external guidance process in partnership with IR by providing insights on key guided metrics and trends.
- Build expertise on Salesforce’s financial system and partner with F&S business partners and IT on system tactics.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Salesforce business model and translate the impact of changes in key inputs on the Company’s overall financials.
- Partner proactively with Revenue, Treasury, Controllership, Tax & other Finance teams during the Company’s monthly close and quarterly earnings cycles.
- Build & maintain cross-functional relationships with the broader F&S team.
- Partner with the broader F&S team to develop operational KPIs, create dashboards, identify trends, and build the Company’s financial narrative.
- Lead ad hoc financial & scenario analysis including but not limited to evaluating total Company strategic spend, external financial statement and expense by type trends, and headcount investments.
- Drive business operational improvements in close processes and deliverables.
- Prepare and present presentations to the broader F&S team.
- Partner and support broader Corporate F&S workstreams including but not limited to Plan & Outlook, long-range scenario planning, executive-driven ad hoc requests, etc.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent and 2 - 4+ years related experience in FP&A, Accounting, Analytics, or Management Consulting.
- Foundational FP&A experience required with a deep knowledge of financial statements.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to explain complex issues in an understandable way.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with competing priorities and influence at all levels within the organization.
- Advanced skill with financial modeling in Excel or GSheets.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-aware, and responsive.
- Experience creating PowerPoint/Google Slide presentations for management.
Skills
- High tech or software industry experience preferred.
- Experience with multi-dimensional databases, e.g., Hyperion or other financial systems.
- Tableau, SQL, R experience preferred.
- Proven process-improvement track record.
Pay
The typical base salary range for this position is $94,000 - $142,300 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $112,900 - $155,200 annually. The range represents base salary only and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits, as applicable.
