About the role
The Sr. Analyst - Compliance & Ethics supports Excelerate’s global compliance program, focusing on third party risk management, training, risk assessments, and other key initiatives. This role guides internal stakeholders to foster a strong culture of integrity and compliance across the business.
Responsibilities
- Perform third-party and counterparty due diligence, communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including compliance, legal and senior management.
- Aid in monitoring third-party intermediary activities, evaluate activity reports, review invoices, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Manage KYC documentation requests.
- Manage Dow Jones continuous screening and monitoring of third parties and vessels to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain reporting requirements under the Reporting Interactions with Public Officials Policy.
- Support compliance investigations, assist with employee and third-party interviews, and prepare interview memoranda.
- Participate in risk assessment exercises, including employee interviews, risk identification, remediation, and follow-up.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Human Resources, Internal Audit, and Supply Chain Management to coordinate initiatives strengthening a culture of compliance across the organization.
- Support the implementation of annual compliance education programs.
- Respond to ad-hoc compliance queries.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and data analytics where warranted.
- Provide support for other Compliance initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (in relevant fields such as International Relations, International Energy, or International Business) or law (JD) degree.
- CCEP or CCEP-I certification preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar capacity with an international company (preferably oil & gas or energy sector); or similar experience in a professional services, audit, legal, or consulting firm.
- Excellent writing skills (due diligence reports; internal memoranda) are a must.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- High ethical standards and sound judgment under pressure.
- Experience supporting or working with cross-functional teams (Legal, HR, Commercial, Operations).
