This Analyst position is a member of Energy Transfer's Interstate Regulatory Affairs Department's Certificates Group and will be based in the Houston, Texas office.

Responsibilities

The position will work under the general direction of the Sr. Manager of Certificates within the Regulatory Affairs Department for interstate pipelines, and will have responsibility for certificate and reporting regulatory activities relating to Energy Transfer's growing portfolio of interstate natural gas pipeline assets.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of federal regulations and compliance with the ability to summarize and provide internal guidance on compliance with regulations impacting interstate natural gas pipeline businesses.
  • Develop and compile materials and information necessary to prepare and maintain regulatory certificate filings with FERC.
  • Develop and compile necessary information to prepare and file weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports with FERC.
  • Prepare other miscellaneous FERC and state filings as required.
  • Research and analyze FERC filings, orders and policies as required.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other groups in the partnership to develop relationships and coordinate efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Regulatory experience in the natural gas industry.
  • Exhibit strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with and support both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and adapt to changing deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and work with complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction as well as part of a team.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.

Qualifications

Depending on qualifications, the successful candidate will be offered a position at an appropriate level. Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level: The Certificate Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience. The Senior Certificate Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience.

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The job primarily operates in a professional office environment. Usually, normal office working conditions. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
