Sr. Aircraft Systems Engineer

About the role

This Sr. Aircraft Systems Engineer will lead and mentor a multi-discipline team supporting the client’s 747/767/737/777 fleets. The Sr. Aircraft Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safety, airworthiness, and reliability of the aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize systems engineering actions
• Manage heavy maintenance and conversion MRO documentation
• Issue instructions to support safe and timely aircraft operations
• Conduct budgetary planning and regulatory compliance (FAR/AD/NPRM) activities
• Perform FIX analysis
• Liaise with OEMs, MROs, and regulatory bodies
• Participate in industry working groups
• Review consultant and contractor work
• Develop AMOCs and update technical documents
• Support aircraft induction and integration
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance reliability, reduce costs, and increase aircraft availability and performance
• Balance customer and team needs while driving technical issues to closure

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience as an Aircraft Systems Engineer with managerial experience
• Must come from an aviation background (Airline, MRO, OEM)
• Strong understanding of Aircraft Systems
• Experience reviewing, advising, and updating records including engineering orders and STCs (supplemental type certificate)

Pay

Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr – $110,000.00/yr (actual pay based on skills and experience)
