Sr. Advanced Compute Specialist SA - National Security, National Security Specialists Solutions Architecture Team
About the role
Amazon Web Services is seeking an Advanced Computing Solutions Architect to support U.S. Government customers. This role involves designing solutions leveraging AWS services for advanced computing workloads, including HPC, quantum computing, and custom accelerators.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions that leverage AWS services for advanced computing workloads and their key performance indicators.
- Work across multiple domains including HPC, quantum computing (Amazon Braket), custom silicon (AWS Graviton, AWS Trainium, AWS Inferentia), and high-performance networking.
- Collaborate with other Specialist SAs to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption of AWS for advanced computing.
- Provide guidance to other SAs on their customer engagements and develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage advanced computing on AWS.
- Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate AWS advanced computing solutions into customer architectures.
- Communicate with senior engineers at customers, partners, and AWS service teams to influence their roadmaps and drive innovation.
Requirements
Deep technical experience working with advanced computing technologies, including high-speed I/O, processing (GPU and custom accelerators), quantum computing frameworks, and code customization to exploit underlying hardware. A strong engineering, physics, computer science, or mathematics background is preferred, along with experience helping customers architect enterprise-grade solutions. Knowledge of the advanced computing ecosystem, including HPC and quantum, is essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to impress AWS customers at all levels, from executives to developers. Previous experience with AWS is desired but not required, provided you have experience building large-scale solutions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of working with Advanced Compute technologies including, but not limited to: Accelerated Compute, High Performance Compute, and/or Quantum Computing.
Skills
- Experience working with end user or developer communities.
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
- Understanding of deep learning training and inference workloads and requirements for high performance compute, network, and storage.
