Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and enforce security controls across the AI lifecycle, including data protection, model security, access controls, and secure deployment of AI/GenAI solutions.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, legal, and AI engineering teams to identify AI-specific risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed “secure-by-design” and Responsible AI principles into all AI use cases.
  • Define and govern data access models (RBAC/ABAC), including access policies, approval workflows, and entitlement standards, in partnership with business, data, cybersecurity and IAM teams.
  • Enforce data access and protection policies, monitor compliance, and drive remediation and exception management.
  • Lead access reviews, security testing, control validation, and audits for data platforms and use cases.
  • Define and apply data classification and tagging standards to enable risk-based, automated security and policy enforcement.
  • Secure data across its lifecycle, including data pipelines, cloud platforms, analytics, and AI/ML use cases, ensuring security-by-design.
  • Establish security requirements for AI and ML data usage, including protection of training data, inference data, and model inputs and outputs.
  • Conduct data security risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and threat modeling, and act as SME for incidents and investigations.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML and GenAI security requirements and risks, including data leakage and model exposure.
  • Experience implementing security controls across the AI lifecycle (data ingestion, training, inference, deployment, and monitoring).
  • Understanding of data protection, access control, and identity management for AI platforms and pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Responsible AI principles, including privacy, fairness, explainability, and risk mitigation.
  • Deep expertise in RBAC, ABAC, policy enforcement, data masking, and classification.
  • In-depth knowledge of data security technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or GDPR.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks, data quality, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with data privacy regulations and best practices in data security.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with enterprise data security and governance initiatives.
  • Experience with highly regulated industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data protection.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
