Data Specialist Solutions Architect, National Security Specialists Solutions Architecture Team

About the role

AWS is seeking a Solutions Architect to support US Government customers in the DC Metro area. The ideal candidate will help U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on AWS data services including Glue, Athena, Redshift, and OpenSearch for our Account teams and customers.
• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

Requirements

Qualifications include 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience, 4+ years of specific technology domain areas experience, 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience, a Bachelor's degree, or relevant certifications, and a current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
• AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification.
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers and strong written communication skills.
• Experience working with enterprise scale data platforms.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with GenAI Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and Machine Learning (ML).
