Sr. Administrative Assistant - Operations
About the role

As a part of the organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Operations team on their Vermont campus. This role involves interfacing with all levels of leadership and coordinating communication.
Responsibilities
- Act as ambassador and spokesperson, building rapport with leadership and all business areas.
- Draft communication as needed, collaborating with leadership on messaging and information flow.
- Arrange travel, accommodations, itineraries, and manage expense reports.
- Plan, organize, and execute events such as meetings, team building activities, luncheons, client dinners, and special projects.
- Maintain files, records, and correspondence for meetings.
- Prepare information and research for senior leadership needs.
- Prepare presentations and related materials.
- Develop a foundational understanding of National Life Group & Operations business models and decision-making processes.
- Aid in the onboarding and offboarding of business area associates.
- Collaborate with other administrative professionals and contribute to the success of the team.
- Support special projects and specific committees as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; equivalent years of job experience or certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior-level administrative professional experience.
- High level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent quality and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work more than a 40-hour work week if necessary.
- Strategic mindset and strong critical thinking and project coordination skills.
- Experience supporting leadership in a fast-paced corporate environment preferred.
Qualifications
- Proficient with computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation (e.g., MSO365, Concur, UltiPro).
- The ability to rapidly learn new company-specific systems and processes.

Pay
The base pay range for this position is the range National Life reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors, including: prior experience and job-related knowledge; education, training and certificates; current business needs; and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
Additional Compensation and Benefits
The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in National Life’s discretionary annual incentive programs, subject to the rules governing such programs.
