Job Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of moderately complex accounting tasks
- May take a lead position, responsible for providing direction to lower-level accounting clerks
- Schedule and coordinate daily work schedules, distribute and verify work
- Train accounting clerks in procedures and solve operational problems
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Verify accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents
- Prepare bills and invoices for payment
- Prepare checks for signature
- Maintain vendor files and communicate status of payments as required
- Identify, investigate, and follow up on billing discrepancies
- Enter data into accounting system and prepare reports
Qualifications
- Ace’s degree or equivalent training with 4+ years of directly related experience
- A clear understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures is required
- U.S. Citizenship required
Pay and Benefits
- The salary range for this position is ($24.94/hour-$32.42)
- This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting
- Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications
