Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist
About the Role
DRS RADA Technologies, a subsidiary of Leonardo DRS, is focused on proprietary radar solutions and legacy avionics systems supporting the defense industry globally. The company is a global pioneer of AESA tactical radars for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance.
This is an on-site, full-time position located in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices: review, code, and enter into the accounting system, ensuring proper authorization.
- Perform 3-way matching: verify vendor invoice, purchase order, and receiving document match before processing payment.
- Schedule and execute payments via checks, ACH, or wire transfers.
- Maintain vendor files, handle payment inquiries, and ensure all tax documents (such as W-9s) are up to date.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements and support month-end close by preparing payable reports and accruals.
- Verify expense report documentation, review policy compliance, approve or return for correction, and reconcile reports for migration to the accounting system.
- Reconcile credit card transactions: verify each transaction and fee, review for errors or fraudulent charges, retrieve receipts, and maintain correct daily balance.
- Provide finance projects and administrative support as needed.
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent training with 4+ years of directly related experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Costpoint preferred) and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- High attention to detail, strong time-management, and excellent communication skills for inter-departmental and vendor interaction.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $24.94/hour to $32.42/hour. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as federal contract labor categories, geographic location, business considerations, scope and responsibilities of the position, and internal equity. Additional compensation may include annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable).
