Sr. Accountant (Onsite Montvale)
Location: Montvale, NJ; 100% onsite (must live within 35 minutes of Montvale).
About the Role
Our client, a privately held professional services organization operating in a highly technology-driven environment, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a long-term impact as the current Senior Accountant will be retiring later this year. In this role, you will serve as the company's lead accounting professional, partnering closely with the CEO to ensure financial accuracy while overseeing day-to-day accounting functions. Although this is an individual contributor role, you will provide guidance to two team members handling A/P and A/R, allowing you to focus on higher-level responsibilities such as general ledger activities, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Success requires a strong accounting foundation, advanced Excel skills, and experience with sophisticated accounting systems. The organization values culture, work/life balance, and employee contributions, making it a great environment for those who enjoy collaboration and adding value across the team.
