Sr. Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Accountant to join our Americas accounting team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, this role plays an integral part in the preparation of financial statements and supports various accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Aids in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
• Prepares and maintains detailed account reconciliations
• Maintains assigned balance sheet accounts in compliance with accounting policies
• Participates in monthly reporting to HFM, including loading trial balances and supplemental data forms
• Reviews and analyzes accounting reports and balance sheet analytical reporting
• Tracks performance against budget and forecasts, explaining variances for certain operating expenses
• Assists with SAP and QAD system reporting process improvements
• Supports continuous process improvement initiatives
• Maintains SOX control documentation and participates in annual SOX testing requirements
• Prepares audit schedules and other analyses for the year-end audit
• Assists in the preparation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years’ working experience in Accounting
• Experience with large, manufacturing, multi-national, public corporations
• Previous General Ledger experience required
• SAP Experience required
• Large ERP system experience, QAD experience a plus
• Excellent system and computer skills, including: vlookup, sumifs, pivot tables, ability to effectively manipulate and organize large amounts of data
• Superior organization skills, ability to multi-task and re-arrange priorities as needed, monitor workflow in meeting critical deadlines and project timetables
• Self-motivated, problem solver, strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Team player, strong communication skills
• High level of analytic and quantitative skills
• Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential
• Must be flexible and able to accurately work under time constraints and deadlines
• Ability to work in an office environment, with occasional travel up to 10%

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 - $106,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
