Sr Accountant
Senior Accountant Role Summary
The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Controllership team and is responsible for supporting the Company’s month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and contributes to audit readiness, SOX compliance, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the close process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Perform detailed quarterly and annual P&L and balance sheet reviews, including flux and root-cause analysis
- Evaluate and determine appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions and vendor arrangements
- Support internal and external audit activities, including preparation of audit schedules and coordination with auditors
- Participate in and support SOX compliance activities, including execution of key controls, documentation, and remediation efforts as needed
- Collaborate with offshore accounting teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of accounting activities
- Assist in strengthening accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation as the Company scales
- Provide support to cross-functional Finance teams as needed to meet reporting and operational requirements
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced public company environment and/or public accounting
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial close processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with Workday ERP is a plus, but not required
