Sr. Accountant

Core Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Reconcile bank accounts, line of credit activity, and other balance sheet accounts
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Support, establish, and document accounting procedures and internal controls
• Partner closely with executive leadership and operational staff
• Help create a strong financial foundation for future growth

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong month-end close and general ledger experience
• Experience performing account reconciliations and preparing financial reports
• Proficiency in QuickBooks - Online
• Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, data organization, and reporting
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and support non-financial stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and bring confidence, patience, and professionalism to a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Nonprofit accounting experience
• Grant accounting and grant reimbursement experience
• Experience improving accounting processes and internal controls
