Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization in Clifton Park, New York. This on-site permanent opportunity is well suited for an accounting specialist who wants to expand their scope, contribute to core financial operations, and build a long-term career. The role offers meaningful exposure to reporting, close activities, compliance support, and cross-functional finance initiatives within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities:• Drive monthly and annual closing activities to help ensure accurate and timely financial results.• Prepare, post, and review journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.• Perform account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.• Contribute to internal and external financial reporting by compiling data and supporting management analysis.• Assist with audit preparation, documentation requests, and compliance-related accounting tasks.• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting workflows and support ongoing process improvements.• Collaborate with leadership and business partners on special projects and broader accounting initiatives. Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.• 3 to 6 or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience.• Solid knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger accounting.• Hands-on experience preparing journal entries and completing reconciliations.• Strong proficiency in Excel for analysis, reporting, and account support.• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.• Experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms is preferred.
