Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities
- Oversee core accounting activities across accounts payable and accounts receivable to keep financial transactions accurate and current.
- Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries each month while maintaining proper supporting documentation.
- Lead month-end close tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and balances are reviewed for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank and ledger-based reviews, to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage ACH payment processing and confirm electronic transactions are recorded correctly within the accounting records.
- Monitor a moderate volume of customer invoicing and receivables activity, following through on accurate billing and cash application.
- Review and reconcile financial data extracted from Yardi and other electronic accounting sources to support reliable reporting.
- Contribute to organizational reporting needs by compiling financial information and validating underlying account activity.
Requirements
- Experience using Yardi is required.
- Demonstrated experience in month-end close within a senior-level accounting capacity.
- Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statement support.
- Proven ability to prepare and review journal entries with a high degree of accuracy.
- Familiarity with account reconciliations and resolving variances independently.
- Hands-on experience performing account reconciliations and resolving variances independently.
- Familiarity with bank reconciliations and electronic payment activity, including ACH transactions.
- Background in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes within a detail-oriented accounting environment.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 annually.
Schedule
The role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating receivables and payables activity, and ensuring timely completion of monthly close activities and reporting. The role is fully remote and offers a steady part-time schedule of approximately 33 hours per week over an initial 3- to 6-month engagement.
