Sr. Accountant

Job Description

The Senior Accountant oversees general accounting activities supporting Par Health's manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Executing and supporting the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Preparing and reviewing various government reports.
• Providing support for external and internal audit requests.
• Planning and guiding activities related to capital investments and fixed asset counts.
• Researching and resolving accounting issues and providing recommendations.
• Driving process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Preparing and providing information for ad-hoc reporting to corporate and plant finance teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent time management and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to interact positively with employees at all organizational levels.
• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office applications, with Copilot experience preferred.
• Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, JDE, BPCS, or other AS400 systems preferred.

Organizational Relationship/Scope

This role reports to the Accounting Manager and collaborates cross-functionally with plant controllers, operations leadership, and corporate finance teams. It operates in a hybrid work environment based in Hazelwood, MO.
