Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Aid with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and required documentation.
- Maintain internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize risk.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, accruals, prepaids, and other complex accounting transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
- Research and interpret accounting guidance and ensure proper application of accounting standards.
- Aid with tax filings, sales tax reporting, and other compliance-related requirements as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive efficiencies within the accounting function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience is required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and its application in day-to-day accounting practices.
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and work independently with limited supervision.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
Qualifications
