Sr. Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Aid with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and required documentation.
  • Maintain internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize risk.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, accruals, prepaids, and other complex accounting transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
  • Research and interpret accounting guidance and ensure proper application of accounting standards.
  • Aid with tax filings, sales tax reporting, and other compliance-related requirements as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive efficiencies within the accounting function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience is required.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and its application in day-to-day accounting practices.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, including Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Qualifications
