Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare customer invoices and track payments
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Aid with payroll processing and payroll records
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards
  • Prepare documentation for audits and year-end reporting
  • Work with project managers to track project budgets and expenses
  • Maintain organized financial files and accounting documentation
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years of administrative, accounting, or operations experience preferred (AEC industry experience is a plus)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred), or a related field preferred
  • Technical: Comfortable with office software, billing systems, and multitasking in a shifting small-business environment
  • Attributes: Extreme attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Valid US work authorization required (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Local candidates preferred
  • Must be able to work in Oakland Office per business need
