Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare customer invoices and track payments
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Aid with payroll processing and payroll records
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards
- Prepare documentation for audits and year-end reporting
- Work with project managers to track project budgets and expenses
- Maintain organized financial files and accounting documentation
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of administrative, accounting, or operations experience preferred (AEC industry experience is a plus)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred), or a related field preferred
- Technical: Comfortable with office software, billing systems, and multitasking in a shifting small-business environment
- Attributes: Extreme attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
- Valid US work authorization required (no visa sponsorship available)
- Local candidates preferred
- Must be able to work in Oakland Office per business need
