Sr. Accountant

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial results are recorded accurately.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain complete and reliable accounting records.
• Manage general ledger activity and review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.
• Perform account reconciliations on a recurring basis and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate variances between cash records and bank statements.
• Analyze financial data and support the preparation of internal reporting related to accounting close results.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve accounting processes and strengthen controls across daily operations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a senior-level accounting role within a detail-oriented business environment.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger accounting.
• Proven ability to prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts accurately.
• Hands-on experience completing bank reconciliations and researching exceptions.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in financial work.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-moving setting.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
