Sr. Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant supports accounting activities for all of Revelyst's brands, playing a key part in the monthly close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This role is based in our Irvine, California office and reports to the Global Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and documentation in support of the month end close.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances to forecasts or trends.
• Support improvements and standardization to the close process.
• Contribute to consistent application of accounting guidance and company accounting policies across all brands.
• Improve and standardize accounting and process documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Perform and support other general accounting activities or projects as directed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting processes and U.S. GAAP.
• 5+ years’ progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a CPG or similar industry.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Netsuite.
• Ability to work in a complex organization having multiple business units, brands and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support cross-functional teams.
• Experience with global entities, intercompany accounting and foreign currency.
• Demonstrated talent for improving processes and a mindset for continuous improvement.
• Strong work ethic, a sense of urgency and unquestioned integrity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).
• Ability to work on site in our Irvine, CA offices at least 4 days per week.

Qualifications

You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a CPG or similar industry. Strong knowledge of accounting processes and U.S. GAAP is required. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Netsuite is preferred. Ability to work in a complex organization with multiple business units, brands and ERP systems is essential. Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support cross-functional teams, are necessary. Experience with global entities, intercompany accounting and foreign currency is beneficial. Demonstrated talent for improving processes and a mindset for continuous improvement are valued. Strong work ethic, a sense of urgency and unquestioned integrity are important. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required. Ability to work on site in our Irvine, CA offices at least 4 days per week is expected.

Pay

Annual Salary: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00
