About the Role
The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliant, timely financial reporting. This role manages month-end close activities, account reconciliations, revenue recognition, and financial analysis while supporting audit preparation and internal controls. The position contributes directly to financial integrity, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.
- Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and account reconciliations.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, unbilled revenue, and deferred revenue.
- Analyze profit margins and cost of goods sold.
- Support the Director of Accounting with recurring monthly activities and special projects.
- Apply US GAAP and IFRS principles to accounting activities and assigned responsibilities.
- Assist with financial audit preparation, testing, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain effective internal controls over financial processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
- Complete ad hoc accounting projects and analyses as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA license required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a multi-company environment.
- Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Background in technology-driven industries such as Software, IT, SaaS, or Shared Services.
- Strong accounting, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Workday preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with urgency in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to learn new accounting systems and processes with minimal supervision.
Pay
Annual salary range of $90,000–$120,000. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
