Sr. Accountant

About the role

National Technologies (NTI), a Network Connex Company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and is passionate about finance and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with internal and external audit preparations to ensure compliance.
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Liaise with the Controller and Finance to improve financial procedures.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies.
• Advanced ability to meet and exceed constant deadlines.
• High level of confidentiality and integrity.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, or similar role in accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) or master’s degree a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to carry and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, bending, and using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity.
