Senior Accountant Location: Annapolis, MDSchedule: Full-Time, 100% OnsiteCompensation: $90,000 - $120,000 + Benefits About the Opportunity A growing real estate organization in Annapolis is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing full-cycle accounting functions across multiple entities and supporting the company's continued growth. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, experience managing month-end close processes, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.Process and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.Administer payroll and ensure timely and accurate processing.Prepare and post journal entries and accruals.Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.Support external auditors, tax preparers, and other financial service providers.Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience.Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close procedures.Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Preferred Qualifications Real estate accounting experience is a plus.Experience working with multiple entities or property portfolios preferred.CPA designation or CPA-track status is a plus.Experience with ERP/accounting software systems.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
