About the role
A global supply chain and electronic components company specializing in sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and distribution solutions for leading manufacturers and OEMs worldwide is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This individual will play a key role in the Accounting department, providing critical financial expertise to aid in the company’s growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post complex journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all transactions
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, verifying and reconciling invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records
- Produce detailed financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations for audit processes
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a CPA or other professional accounting certification is highly desirable
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statements
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations
