A privately backed energy company focused on the transportation, storage, and export of crude oil.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries while keeping the general ledger accurate and up to date
- Review project expenses and ensure costs are properly capitalized
- Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and other departments to gather information and support project accounting
- Track and record capital activity, including capital calls, distributions, and transfers
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Handle monthly sales and use tax reporting
- Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to project activity
- Support the annual audit by preparing schedules and coordinating with external auditors
- Partner with the tax team to provide documentation and support for tax filings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years accounting‑related experience
- Proficiency in Windows‑based software, including Microsoft Excel
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
- Detail‑oriented and organized
