Sr Accountant

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepares schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for use in multiple sales tax filings.
• Researches and communicates sales tax matters to company stakeholders.
• Works with regionally based managers to obtain and renew required state and municipal business licenses.
• Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts along with other month-end closing activities.
• Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Accounting bachelor’s degree or related field and five years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of construction industry concepts and practices strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and relevant accounting software experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar accounting/ERP system.
