Sr Accountant

Position Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Americas Finance, the Sr. Accountant oversees Accounts Payable, banking, accruals, prepaids, debt accounting, and related month-end close activities for the Americas region. This role reviews the work of Staff Accountants, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, and supports scalable accounting processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable, banking, accrual, prepaid, debt, and intercompany accounting activities.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure AP, banking, debt, fixed asset, and balance sheet accounts are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Review payment runs and banking transactions while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Identify accounting issues, risks, and discrepancies and drive timely resolution.
• Develop and improve accounting processes, procedures, and systems to support growth and scalability.
• Provide guidance and oversight to Staff Accountants.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with Accounts Payable, banking, accruals, prepaids, and general ledger accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar accounting platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
