Sr. Account Manager
Job Summary
Supermicro Computer is seeking a Senior Account Manager with experience in selling technical solutions and developing business. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in winning enterprise-level relationships and consistently meeting sales targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage products throughout their lifecycle until end-of-life
- Develop strategic sales goals with exceptional execution to meet targets
- Qualify leads and create target lists of enterprise or data center accounts
- Seek potential customers through cold calling and follow-up visits
- Participate in marketing activities like trade shows to generate leads
- Strategically position Supermicro's products and services in the market
- Build and maintain customer relationships, expanding existing accounts for retention and growth
- Work with cross-functional teams to draft and negotiate various types of contracts
- Manage day-to-day sales operations
- Negotiate sales pricing, monitor orders, handle credit issues, and facilitate sales returns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience selling computer hardware solutions to data centers or enterprises (prior software or telecom sales experience will be considered)
- Successful track record with credible cold calling and follow-up with key decision-makers
- Ability to thrive independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrated skills in pre-call planning, opportunity qualification, objection handling, call structure and control, time and territory management
- Strong persuasive and negotiating abilities; ability to articulate ideas clearly in verbal, written, and presentations
- Extremely proactive, highly organized, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks
- Exceptional time and territory management skills
Pay
The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $112,000, with the actual salary depending on factors such as location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. Additional compensation may include a comprehensive benefits package and participation in bonus and equity award programs.
