About The Team
The Ads Sales Team provides best-in-class advertising solutions for large brand advertisers. We are a team of high-energy individuals committed to helping our advertisers connect with GenZ, young professionals, students, and teachers. We provide creative ad programs, strategic data insights, and excellent customer service. Our team plays a key part in Quizlet’s success as the ad programs we develop, sell, and deliver keep Quizlet free of charge for millions of users around the globe.
About The Role
We are hiring a seasoned Sr. Account Executive to play a crucial role in achieving our revenue objectives. You will identify ideal customers and sales strategies to generate direct and programmatic revenue. You will own and drive all phases of the sales lifecycle including identifying and developing leads, meeting with clients, developing value propositions and unique content and sponsorship opportunities, financial deal structuring, contract negotiation, and closing. As a well-versed sales professional, you will call on your own book of business with client direct and agency contacts.
This is an onsite position requiring employees to be in the office at a minimum of three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and as needed by your manager or the company. We believe this working environment facilitates increased work efficiency, team partnership, and supports growth as an employee and organization.
Responsibilities
- Introduce a brand and platform beloved by GenZ to brand marketing decision makers, creating interest and excitement in powering the success of millions of young people.
- Partner with sales leadership to develop sales strategies across display, native, video, custom content, and sponsorship.
- Develop an industry-specific go-to-market playbook for growing revenue.
- Identify, target, and acquire new direct business to meet revenue targets.
- Grow advertising revenue by developing and cultivating relationships with agencies and brands.
- Follow up on incoming new leads and communicate ad offerings and capabilities to potential buyers and agency trading desks.
- Ensure excellent service and support to prospects and clients.
- Plan and coordinate sales activities, including management of the sales pipeline and accountability for Win/Loss reviews on new accounts.
- Promote Quizlet at industry events.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8+ years of digital media sales experience, preferably at an online publisher.
- Experience selling complex, creative, integrated programs including display, content, social, and event components.
- Experience selling programmatic advertising and educating brands, agencies, and trading desks about programmatic offerings.
- Self-starter who likes to hustle and win.
- Track record of exceeding revenue goals.
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Strong relationships with agencies, trading desks, and brands.
- Comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly changing environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Some travel required.

- Experience conceiving and negotiating creative multi-million dollar partnership programs.
Pay
Compensation range: $136K – $178.5K, including commission and company stock options. Total compensation varies based on location and experience.
