Verifiable track record of self-generating and consistently meeting or exceeding new-business quota, closing a minimum of $100,000 in net-new MRR within a 12-month period; be prepared to speak to specific deals, deal sizes, and how pipeline was self-generated Demonstrated experience selling non-IBM infrastructure, managed IT services, cybersecurity, hardware, and cloud solutions (Microsoft 365/Windows Server, open-platform virtualization/VMware alternative, AWS, colocation, general x86 infrastructure); prior exposure to IBM platforms (Power Systems/IBM i, AIX) is a strong plus, not required Experience selling into mid-market and/or enterprise organizations Experience working with and through referral partners, channel partners, TSDs, and VARs to source and close deals Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM and sales engagement tools with disciplined pipeline hygiene Required Skills & Competencies: True hunter mentality; energized by prospecting and new-logo acquisition, not managing or renewing an existing account base Fully self-sufficient and comfortable in a role with no starting book of business or handed-off pipeline; can speak concretely to how they’ve built pipeline from zero in past roles Coachable with a Go-Giver mindset; eager to learn and ramp quickly Strong channel/partner acumen; builds trust with TSDs and referral partners rather than treating them as competition for direct commission Strategic thinker with strong discovery and consultative selling skills; executive presence to run a multi-stakeholder sales process independently across technical and business buyers Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, with strong attention to detail, organization, and forecast discipline Alignment with CloudFirst Values: At CloudFirst, how we work is just as important as what we deliver.
