About the role

Playfly Sports is seeking a Senior Account Executive/Account Executive, Sponsorship Sales for its team in Blacksburg, VA. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in direct sales, particularly in the sports multi-media environment, and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development and execution of a sales plan
  • Identify potential sponsors through networking and research
  • Create sales presentations and contracts
  • Develop key marketing objectives with clients
  • Represent the university sports property and Playfly Sports Properties professionally
  • Research and stay updated on relevant market trends
  • Participate in game days and evening athletic events
  • Travel for client presentations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of direct sales experience in sports multi-media environment required

Qualifications

  • Experience with integrated and conceptual sales
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Demonstrated professional sales presentation skills

Skills

  • Ability to generate and present ideas/concepts succinctly
  • Leverage new business areas, leads, and categories

Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may vary in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

$70,000 to $80,000 USD

Schedule

This role takes place in an office setting and is a sedentary role. Be available for game days and evening athletic events and coaches shows. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., sit, stand, and walk-up stairs is required.
