SQL DBA

About the Role

Strong domain knowledge in key practices including ITIL process, performance tuning, SQL partitioning, compression, mirroring and more is essential for this role. This role requires a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, identify defects early in the development cycle, and ensure high-quality product delivery.

Responsibilities

• At least 10+ years of SQL DBA experience covering implementation, production support, and project work.
• At least 5+ years of exposure as an L3/SME support role.
• Client-facing role(s) globally for at least 5 years.
• On-call support for at least 5 years.
• Must be willing to take responsibility and ownership instead of waiting to be assigned work.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent documentation skills in MS SharePoint 2010/2013.
• Senior-level Microsoft SQL Server DBA with experience in large and critical environments.
• Knowledge of performance tuning at both server and query level, including perfmon and SQL Server dynamic management views.
• Knowledge of SQL Server internals, partitioning, and compression.
• Hands-on experience with mirroring, replication, and Always ON.
• Must have automation experience and good knowledge of scripting.
• Excellent knowledge of SSIS packages.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Clustering, Integration Services, Reporting Services, and Analysis Services.
• Good knowledge of SQL Server permission/security policies.
• At least 6 months of experience with AWS Cloud RDS.
• MySQL knowledge/experience.
• Linux knowledge.
• Experience with SnowFlake.
