SQL Data Analyst

About the Role

This is a contract-to-hire position based in Minneapolis, MN, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role requires 8+ years of experience and involves face-to-face interviews.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize databases and data pipelines.
• Create reports and dashboards to present data insights effectively.
• Identify data quality issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Document data structures, processes, and analysis methodologies.
• Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from business teams.
• Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, and window functions.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and MySQL.
• Experience designing, optimizing, and maintaining database schemas and indexes.
• Strong knowledge of query performance tuning and optimization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot data issues and provide technical support to business users.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy.
