About the Role

Working at Moffitt Cancer Center means contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer as part of the only National Cancer Institute‑designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Florida. The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor coordinates inpatient and outpatient clinical activities of the Respiratory Therapy Department and serves as an ambassador for the department and the Center, demonstrating exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient clinical activities of the Respiratory Therapy Department.
• Provide supervisory direction to staff Respiratory Therapists during daily operations.
• Deliver initial and ongoing education and training to staff.
• Act as a clinical informatics and systems super‑user.
• Maintain proficiency with all respiratory and blood‑gas laboratory modalities and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with members of the interprofessional care team.
• Document and bill for services in the electronic medical record.
• Provide clinical support as needed, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with physician orders, policies, and protocols.
• Serve as an ambassador for the department and the Center by delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree in any relevant field (CoARC‑accredited Respiratory Therapy Program preferred).
• Licensure/Certification: Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/RT) certification; NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably from a CoARC‑accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Additional certifications such as CPR Instructor, CAP Surveyor, ACCSF, SRC Member.

Compensation

Salary range: $40.87 – $62.30 (base pay). Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
