SPVR RESPIRATORY THERAPY

Summary

The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is responsible for coordinating inpatient/outpatient clinical activities of the Respiratory Therapy Department. Additional responsibilities include providing supervisory direction to staff Respiratory Therapists, initial/ongoing education of staff, clinical informatics and systems superuser, maintaining proficiency with all respiratory and blood gas lab modalities and equipment, communicating with other members of the interprofessional care team, and documenting/billing for services in the electronic medical record.

Education

• Required: Associate's degree- any field of study.
• Preferred: CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

Licensure And Certification

• Required: ACLS
• Required: RRT
• Required: NBRC

Experience

• Required: 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Required: 2 years of clinical experience in critical care.
• Required: 6 months of experience in leadership roles (Charge/Team Lead or Supervisor/Coordinator).
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in leadership roles (Charge/Team Lead or Supervisor/Coordinator).
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in oncology.
