Sprinkler Fitter Technician
About the role
Sobieski Life Safety, Inc. of Newark, DE is seeking a full-time Sprinkler Fitter Technician. The primary responsibilities include providing fire sprinkler services, identifying repair and/or replacement needs, and performing tasks such as installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading commercial systems and equipment according to NFPA codes.
Responsibilities
- Identify repair and/or replacement needs for fire sprinkler systems
- Install, repair, maintain, and upgrade commercial fire protection systems
- Complete necessary programming in a safe and timely manner
- Work safely and adhere to NFPA 13 & 25, electrical codes, OSHA requirements, and other applicable regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of sprinkler installation experience
- Extensive knowledge of various sprinkler systems and their construction and operation
- Ability to install and repair fire sprinkler systems, identify major issues, and complete necessary programming
- Thorough understanding of NFPA 13 & 25, electrical codes, OSHA requirements, general work safety procedures, and other applicable regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Good interpersonal and communication skills

Work Schedule
This full-time fire protection position typically works 8.5-hour shifts on Monday through Friday, but hours may vary based on business needs.
