Key Responsibilities
- Review, coordinate, and oversee fire sprinkler design projects to ensure successful and timely completion.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers, supporting professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Aid in developing and delivering training programs for new and existing design team members.
- Contribute to complex designs, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve coordination issues and maintain alignment with project schedules and objectives.
- Support the Estimating team by providing design input and technical support for proposal and quotation development.
- Ensure sprinkler system designs comply with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and project specifications.
- Participate in coordination meetings with clients, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler system design.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, project workflows, permitting processes, scheduling, and coordination with other trades.
- Proficiency in AutoSprink.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of NFPA and FM Global standards and requirements.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Certification
- Experience with BIM coordination projects
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Procore
- Previous experience mentoring or leading design team members
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
