Job Responsibilities
- Installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Service, trouble-shooting, and maintenance of automatic fire sprinkler systems and related equipment
- Oversee, direct, and delegate tasks to fitters and helpers as needed to meet project deadlines and goals
- Complete assigned projects within budget and timeline
- Ensure flawless execution of projects using project drawings to interpret installation requirements
- Communicate change orders to the fire sprinkler manager and project manager for approval
- Thread and groove pipe, cut hanger rods, climb ladders, hang pipe, read blueprints, layout, and maintain a clean work area
- Present weekly tool box talks to employees
- Create a safe working environment for employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
Expectations
- Believe in, live, and support the mission statement, core values, and business plan
- Follow daily safety protocols
- Timely and complete submission of JSAs, Toolbox Talks, Audit Forms, etc.
- Accurate and timely incident and accident reporting
- Accountability for all safety initiatives and safe driving of company vehicles
- Awareness and support of Stop Work Authority
- Completion of all training requirements, including certifications
- Accurate timesheet submission, including job numbers/names, OT, and travel pay
- Proper inventory management and equipment maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Support production efficiency and adhere to company SOPs
- Ensure customer satisfaction and respond to feedback
- Maintain quality control and reduce the need for return trips and warranty work
- Keep a professional appearance and communicate effectively and professionally
- Participate in required team meetings and actively contribute to team dynamics
- Work overtime, out of town, or on-call as needed
