Job Responsibilities
- Installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Service and trouble-shooting of automatic fire sprinkler systems and related equipment
- Oversee, direct, and delegate tasks to fitters and helpers as needed
- Complete assigned projects in a timely manner and stay under budget
- Ensure flawless execution of projects
- Thread and groove pipe, cut hanger rods, climb ladders, hang pipe, read blueprints, layout, keep clean work area, and use appropriate equipment
- Present weekly tool box talks to employees
- Create a safe working environment for employees
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Follow daily safety protocols
- Timely and complete submittal of JSAs, Toolbox Talks, Audit Forms, etc.
- Accurately report incidents and accidents
- Hold oneself accountable for all safety initiatives
- Drive company vehicles safely and adhere to company policies
- Submit accurate timesheets, complete required training, and ensure proper inventory management
- Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively
- Participate in required team meetings and actively contribute to team success
- Work overtime, out of town, or on-call as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- American Fire Sprinkler Association training program for fire sprinkler foreman, preferred
- Nicet II & III certification, preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fire Sprinkler Foreman and leading small teams
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fire sprinkler apprentice/fitter, preferred
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler piping systems and their fabrication
- Ability to read and understand fire protection blueprints
- Ability to take direction from upper management
- Accuracy in completing and maintaining paperwork
- Vehicle maintenance and compliance with company policies
- Positive communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to interact professionally with other trades, customers, project managers, county officials, general contractors, etc.
- Compliance with all company safety practices and the safety handbook
- Proactive communication with superintendents and adherence to company SOPs
- Ability to work overtime, out of town, or on-call as needed
