Responsibilities
- Set up, disassemble, inspect, repair and re-assemble spreader rolls.
- Maintain knowledge of repair practices and ensure adherence to Voith quality standards in an efficient and safe manner.
- Familiarize oneself with the operation of mechanical assemblies and understand the specifics of spreader rolls.
- Be knowledgeable of the usage of this equipment in the manufacturing operation of paper machines and related equipment.
- Experience in setups and practices used in working on large equipment.
- Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools and equipment, including drills, taps, pullers, bearing heaters, presses, hydraulic test units, 25-ton overhead cranes, forklifts, hand trucks, and standard hand tools to support manufacturing and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Voith quality standards.
- Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime and shift schedules as needed.
- Show willingness to learn and adapt by supporting additional operational tasks as required.
Requirements
- A high school diploma is preferred but not required if the experience level, determined by Voith management, offsets this requirement.
- Knowledge of repair practices and ability to maintain Voith quality standards in an efficient and safe manner.
- Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies, including spreader rolls, and their utilization within paper machine manufacturing operations and related systems.
- Experience in setups and practices used in working on large equipment.
Qualifications
Commensurate with experience.
Skills
Hands-on experience with large mechanical equipment, proficiency with a wide range of tools, and a team-oriented approach.
