About the role

Prior experience with saw and other production-related equipment required. Ability to safely set up and operate equipment to meet production requirements. Knowledge and compliance with safety, quality, maintenance, and housekeeping requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders to understand machine setup requirements.
• Identify different paper grades and widths.
• Calculate conversion of fractions to decimals; read a tape measure and calipers.
• Work with the winder operator to plan stops and changeovers.
• Complete and maintain forklift certification.
• Perform periodic quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and/or COAs using the CSAR quality system.
• Comply with all OPEX recordkeeping requirements.
• Apply lean tools such as 5-Why’s, Fishbone, 5’s, SMED, Operator care, Reliability, and RCPS.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, with attention to detail while working collaboratively with peers.
• Adhere to specific quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow company policies and guidelines.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.55 – $28.03 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $17.55 and $28.03. Offers may vary based on market data and factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
