Schedule
Monday-Friday 6:30am-3pm
Responsibilities
- Performs a complete safety and mechanical check of the Yard truck and trailers to be moved
- Climbs up into cab, drives to trailers, backs up to the trailer, raises 5th wheel, makes connections, climbs down to remove wheel chock, climbs up into cab and drives away
- Backs the trailer into the designed spot, disconnects the trailer, installs chocks
- Drives forklift to make up cross dock loads
- Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role
- Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours
- CDL A Certification preferred
- Hazmat and Doubles endorsements
- Minimum 1 year driving tractor/trailer combinations
- Knowledge of DOT regulations on equipment standards and inspections
