About the role

Join our team and play a key role in manufacturing at Allegion's Steelcraft facility, a major manufacturer of steel frames and doors. Reporting into one of our value streams (Frames or Doors), you will perform a variety of duties, including manual work handling materials for our manufacturing and service departments. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, but we provide training and development support.

Responsibilities

• Perform production work to assist machine operators in setting up and operating machines.
• Handle and transport raw materials, parts, supplies, tools, fixtures, dies, and trucks.
• Work in all departments to load and unload trucks, count, weigh, transport, and pile materials in storage areas.
• Position and handle materials to load and unload conveyors, racks, containers, etc., for processing equipment.
• Deliver materials and parts to manufacturing departments as directed.
• Clean materials.
• Follow standardized methods of work.

Requirements

• Ability to see well, including strong depth perception and color distinction.
• Ability to continuously or near-continuously stand and maintain balance.
• Frequent (4+ hours per day) lifting and carrying (25-50 lbs.), stooping, twisting, and reaching (overhead and to the side).
• Occasional walking, pushing, and pulling of heavy carts.
• Climbing, kneeling, and crouching may be required.

1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
