Sports & News Video Editor

Responsibilities

• Creatively and efficiently edit content including packages, bold opens, mobile shorts, specials, and teases for linear, digital, and streaming platforms.
• Edit high-impact sports specials featuring innovative and energetic graphics that showcase our sports partners: the Seahawks, Kraken, and Mariners.
• Operate non-linear edit systems, experience with Edius and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects & Photoshop).
• Have strong organizational skills with the ability to co-produce content.
• Provide a confident, risk-taking, creative vision.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• 1-3 years' experience video editing in a newsroom,
• knowledge of Edius,
• Strong graphic creation skills,
• Writing experience on linear and digital platforms,
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
