About the role
The Minnesota Wind Chill is looking for motivated college students to join our Sports Management Internship – Community Programs & Youth Development for the spring semester. You’ll gain hands-on experience in program planning, management, and community engagement while working directly with our staff, coaches, and community partners to deliver fun, inclusive, and educational Ultimate Frisbee programs across the Twin Cities. This is a great opportunity to build skills in sports management, communication, and leadership while helping grow the next generation of athletes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with staff, coaches, and volunteers to deliver youth programs
- Assist with event setup, logistics, and program materials
- Support marketing, outreach, and communication efforts
- Help document program processes and best practices
- Create and implement tools to evaluate program success
- Contribute to curriculum and resource development
- Lead special projects to improve program accessibility and impact
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree or interest in sports management, recreation, education, or related fields
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work independently
- Creative problem-solving and attention to detail
- Experience working with youth or coaching (a plus)
- Familiarity with Ultimate Frisbee (a bonus, but not required)
Schedule
Approximately 10–15 hours per week, mostly weekday hours with some events on evenings/weekends.
